Highland Mall was built in 1971 and was Austin’s first indoor shopping mall. Recently celebrating the 40th anniversary of Highland Mall, the mall is located at the crossroads of IH35, Highway 290 and 183. It is adjacent to a MetroRail transit stop and a Capital Metro bus stop providing easy accessibility from Austin and the surrounding areas. The mall is home to national and local retailers including Aeropostale, Express, Champs, Helzberg Diamonds, The Austin Variety Show, Adelle’s Bridal and many more.
